Paneling Endgame

6/13/2007 Dry fitting the pieces in the shop
7/28 Screwing down cauls to hold panels into the frame during assembly. Everything is finished at this point, hence the blanket on the work table, to prevent scratches.
7/28 ta-da!
8/10 Cut out two strips of wallboard so I could install two strips of plywood for nailing the very tops an dbottoms of the panels to.
8/10 Looking good so far with two of four assemblies installed.
8/10 The installation process involved applying beads of panel adhesive, placing the assembly level and squeezed next to the previously installed panel, and then tacking it in place with the nail gun.
8/10 Lovely glue bead, eh?
8/10 Glued and ready to be nailed.
Almost finished--just need to clean-up and make a cap rail for the top.
Ah, sweet success (and too far away to see my mistakes!). Nice door in the background as well, incorporating some leaded glass I gave Allison for Valentine's Day a few years ago.
Ready for my close-up, Mister Vila.
